My therapeutic approach is rooted in transpersonal counseling & art therapy. It is transpersonal in respects that I believe we are all creative individuals who seek balance between body, mind and spirit. I treat the entire person, helping people find their own inherent wisdom and strength within. I also trust people can discover, create, and re-create themselves toward wholeness. Art therapy is a discipline that specializes in the visual art making to help clients bring about change. It is typically referred for situations in which words are difficult (grief & loss), if there is a mind-body relationship to the person's issue (sexual abuse/PTSD), or for clients who have difficulty using words to describe how they feel (children or autisic spectrum disorders). After earning my degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with an Art Therapy emphasis from Naropa University in Boulder, CO. in 2005, my work has focused on children, adolescents, and adults. I have experience with sensory processing issues, attachment, depression, trauma, anxiety, and life transitions, such as divorce, adoption, or grief.
